March 2011 in recap

March has been a good month:

  • To start it off we Had 3 birthdays - My Mom, My father in law, and my dad

  • Christian got 3 new teeth

  • We learned we are getting a Niece or Nephew in October (Something we and a lot of other people have been praying for for quite awhile)

  • Christian frequently started saying Dadda and Momma

  • Christian starting walking all on his own at just over 10 1/2 months (3/27)

  • Josie can count to 13 all on her own

  • Josie is learning to recognized letters in the alphabet not just sign the song

  • Christian has learned to clap and say bye-bye

  • I finished and mailed Christians first birthday party invitations

  • We started to teach Josie how to tie her shoes

  • And we got our taxes done and only owe $10 it Illinois

  • We had parent teacher conference at Josie's preschool - Mrs. Cole told us that Josie has a wonderful imagination, is a creature of habit, likes to be in-charge, And she is the life of the party

  • And finally I got to go out for dinner just me and my Hubby!

I can't wait to see what April brings!!

It's been awhile!

I can't believe how long it has been- And many things have changed - I have decided that I have to get back to this - Not for anyone else but for me. I want this to be a memory log for myself and my now almost 4 1/2 yr old little girl and my little man (our surprise baby) that will be 1 in May.

With now having 2 kiddos I am forgetting to write down and keep note of all the things they are doing. And I know this is not fair to them - So it has to get better.

So today is the day I start again!

Josie & Zoe

Ben & I never thought that having to have our dog of almost 12 years, Samantha, put to sleep would be as hard as it was. But March 10th was one of the worst days of our marriage. With this being so hard we were going to wait for a little while to get a new puppy. This soon started to change. Our daughter Josie, who is 2, started asking about Sam all the time & if the Dr. had fixed her yet, because when she goes to the Dr. they always make her better. This was an everyday question from her.

Well our choice to wait didn't last as long as expected. We went to a Migratory waterfowl dinner/auction with Ben's parents and a group of 14 others,on April 4th & came home with a wooden duck decoy our newest family addition.Who Josie has named Zoe.

We didn't know how Josie would react.

To our surprise Josie & her new best friend are almost inseparable

Josie says the funniest things!!!

I just had to share this.

Today My mom, Josie & I went to Applebee's for lunch after we finished cleaning. When we where getting into the car to leave I heard someone honk so of course I looked around & it was our friend Randy Nelson waiting to his wife Shannon to to arrive. He got out of his car came over to say Hi & gave me a hug. By this time Josie was in her carseat looking at us thru the window & with no hesitation she looked at my mom and said "That's not daddy! That's not my Daddy!" I had to laugh, I guess Ben has nothing to worry about - Josie knows who mommy is suppose to hug!!!

Josie's hair cut

I took Josie on Monday(2/9)for her first real hair cut. She did very well. She didn't want to sit in the chair so she sat on my lap. It wasn't a major hair cut so sitting on my lap was not a big deal.
She watched herself in the mirror

Until she dropped it. I guess we now have 7 years bad luck!

Her first hair cut went well until it was my turn. She didn't like me getting my hair washed, she had to touch the water & shampoo bubbles to make sure they were okay & she had to hold my hand off & on thru my whole haircut. But in the end she was happy & even gave Kim a hug & kiss when we left.

Welcome

I'm brand new at blogging & I don’t think my life is that interesting. Why would someone want to read me? But I'm starting this more for a release & a little bit of sanity in my otherwise caotic world that consists of my husband & our 2 year old daughter that never stops running & enjoying the amazing world that is around her. I'm not very good at setting a time to keep a journal, so I hope this will be a little bit easier, and I am hoping that this will help me to keep a better list (& help me to remember) of the very funny & amazing things that Josie says & does on a daily basis.

I really hope that I will get better at this, so come back.
